ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT CAMP

The Athletic Development Camp is a two-day intensive seminar of athlete analysis and education for competitive CrossFit athletes. This camp is also suitable for coaches, specialists, masters athletes, and anyone who is interested in competing or working with competitive athletes.

We will engage in multiple testing/training sessions and educate attendees in crucial topics regarding athletic development and performance such as:

  • Analyzing your strength and weaknesses
  • Understanding fundamental training principles
  • Prioritizing modalities and exercises in your training
  • The sport of CrossFit: analysis of characteristics
  • Approaching a competition: periodization phases and maintaining balance all year round
  • Developing an individual game-plan to attack workouts based on YOUR strength & weaknesses

With the results of the testing/training sessions we shall educate attendees how to use the data they’ve gathered to analyze their individual strength & weaknesses and how to address them. Attendees will also learn how to use this information to structure a week of training into a well-balanced program. Finally, we will discuss the importance of mindset and provide methods to forge a winners mentality.

At the end of the camp, you will have gained crucial insights about your athletic performance and you have learned several methods and tools of how to optimize your athletic development into your full potential.  Most importantly, you will leave with the knowledge of how to best improve your athletic performance and how to become a better all-round athlete.

The Camp will run both days around 10:00-17:00 with a 45-60 min. lunch break.

FUNDAMENTALS OF OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING

The purpose of this two-day course is to take all participants through the methodology and complete technical progressions of the Olympic lifts (snatch, clean & jerk) and all associated movements including power, squat, and pulling variations. The course will contain both theoretical segments including lectures, explanations and video analysis, as practical hands-on sessions. After studying the methodology and biomechanical fundamentals of the Olympic lifts, participants will train practical drills to enhance and build technique followed by a training session, integrating all gained knowledge and movement patterns.

This course aims to build a strong foundation of learning Olympic weightlifting by understanding, feeling, breathing, and practicing in the most efficient way to hone one’s skills. It is suitable for athletes, coaches, and specialists and the gained knowledge can be used for all purposes. There are no prerequisites for this course and no level of athleticism or education or coaching background required. 

The Fundamentals course will run both days around 9:00-17:00 with a ± 60-90 min. lunch break.

TRAINING CAMP

In our two-day intensive training camp a total of ten hours of hard training will be accumulated through three practical sessions a day. The focus of this training camp is ‘learning by doing’ and limited time will be spent explaining details of technique and biomechanics of weightlifting.

Weightlifting is the ultimate sport; it requires and produces explosive power, technique, coordination, balance, flexibility, and mental focus. In order to develop all these skills and becoming successful in the sport, one must engage in hours and hours of practice. If you are interested in improving your skills and capacity in the barbell game and are willing to work hard for it, then this camp is for you.

The size of one group will be up to ten participants. Minimum requirements are being injury free and not being totally new to the sport as the camp calls for hard work that requires a minimum understanding of weightlifting and conditioning.

An example of a camps schedule (able to change to accommodate classes):

Session 1: 10:00-12:00
Session 2: 13:00-14:30
Session 3: 15:30-17:00

COACHES SEMINAR

Great coaches never stop to learn. Whether you’re interested in general strength and conditioning, principles of CrossFit training, or a training/lifting session for your coaches crew, our one-day coaches seminar will provide an excellent opportunity for continuous education, coaches development, and teambuilding.

Our goal is to provide the participants tools and systems to optimize the training of their own athletes. Different styles of coaching and scenarios will be discussed to make coaches understand the broad spectrum of education in sports. It’s also crucial for coaches to understand the importance of ‘speaking one language’ in a gym; to have consensus regarding teaching methods and principles of training and competition where their athletes engage in.
